Associate Professor Analise O’Donovan is Deputy Head in the School of Applied Psychology at Griffith University, Mt Gravatt campus. She has had 17 years’ experience training clinical postgraduate students as well as psychology undergraduate and honours students in a range of subjects, including psychopathology, psychotherapy, and practice skills. Analise was also Director of Clinical training Programs and Director of the Psychology Clinic at Griffith, Mt Gravatt campus, for a number of years. Analise has a particular passion for the practice of supervision, and has provided extensive training on effective supervision to supervisors and supervisees both nationally and internationally.
Dr Leanne Casey is Director of Clinical Psychology Programs at Griffith University, Mt Gravatt Campus. She has had over 20 years’ experience as a clinical psychologist, working in hospital, community, and private-practice settings. Clinical supervision has always been a highly valued aspect of Leanne’s professional practice, and since entering academia she has broadened her teaching interests to include counselling and psychotherapy training for both honours and postgraduate students. Her research interests are the use of technology in enhancing and disseminating psychological interventions, the therapeutic relationship, and change processes in psychotherapy.
Dr Marchiene van der Veen brings an international perspective, having worked as a clinical psychologist in South Africa, the United Kingdom, and more recently in Australia. Marchiene was Chair of the Queensland section of the Clinical College for a number of years. Currently, Marchiene runs a thriving private practice and has extensive experience in providing psychotherapeutic treatment to clients presenting with mental-health difficulties. Before establishing her private practice, Marchiene was Director of the Psychology Clinic at Griffith University. Throughout her career, Marchiene has been actively involved in the supervision and training of clinical postgraduate students and clinical psychologists. Marchiene’s key interests are psychotherapeutic change processes, supervision, and ethical and effective psychological practice.
Dr Mark Boschen is a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology at Griffith University. Mark specialises in the assessment and treatment of adult anxiety disorders, with a specific focus on treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder. Mark maintains an active clinical practice in addition to his university research and teaching commitments, and is a regular presenter of workshops for the Australian Psychological Society on anxiety disorders, cognitive behaviour therapy, case formulation, and psychopharmacology.
