Dr Jane Howard, MB BS LRCP MRCS DRCOG FChSHM, is a Brisbane-based sex therapist with many years' experience in helping people with sexual problems.
Jane qualified in medicine at the Royal Free Medical School, London, in 1967, and then worked in several London hospitals and in Liverpool. Jane gained a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1969. In 1970, Jane came to Australia and worked at Rockhampton Hospital and the Royal Children's Hospital, Brisbane. For the following 25 years Jane worked at Family Planning Queensland, where she was Medical Director, 1990-1996, and where, in the mid-1980s, she established a clinic for people with sexual difficulties. In 1996 Jane attained a Fellowship with the Australasian Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine, and went into private practice. Jane now works at the Lilian Cooper Medical Centre, Brisbane, treating people with sexual problems.
