Corrections to text
1. On p285, the text reads, ‘Menactra is approved in Australia for use < 2 years of age. . .’ The text should read, ‘Menactra is approved in Australia for use > 2 years of age. . .’
2. In Appendix 3 of the book, on pp377-9, the notes regarding yellow fever immunization contain an error. All the statements about age should indicate that yellow fever vaccine should not be given to infants less than 9 or 12 months of age. In footnote + on p377, in footnotes a to d, f to i, and k and l on p 378, and in footnotes m and n on p379, the "≤” symbol should be replaced by “≥”.
In the chapter on vaccines, (chapter 2.19, pp 147-57), the text on yellow fever immunization is correct: yellow fever vaccine should be given only to infants at least 9 months of age.
We apologise for these errors and for any confusion caused.
