Sexual Health Medicine

Reviews

'While studying for the sexual health physician's exam, my constant references were Sexual Health Medicine and King Holmes. What Sexual Health Medicine lost in detail, it gained in pure readability. . . the book established itself as a thoughtful source without the self-importance than often emanates from medical texts. Cover to cover it entertained, enlightended and interested me. Rather than a didactic approach to sexual health, it mapped out current thinking in this rapidly evolving field. . . generally the book is a refreshing, up-to-date account of the subject. It touches on difficult aspects of male and female sexual dysfunction, including controversial subjects such as interstitial cystitis, chronic pelvic pain and its male counterpart prostadynia. It delves into subjects too often ignored such as premature ejaculation. There are moments of humour and times when I was amused that I was reading a medical text. This book is at times unconventional, and such is its strength'
