The
Scientific Basis of Injury Prevention and Control About the editors
Mark
Stevenson is Director of the Injury Prevention and Trauma Care
Division, The George Institute for International Health, and Professor
in the School of Public Health, University of Sydney. Prior to these appointments,
Mark was the founding Director of the Injury Research Centre at the University
of Western Australia, and previously worked as an epidemiologist at the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta. Mark has extensive
international experience as an epidemiologist, with research expertise
in road traffic injury and childhood injury prevention, and is a member
of the Australasian Trauma Society and Chair of the Australasian College
of Road Safety (Sydney Chapter). Suzanne
McEvoy is a Senior Research Fellow in the Injury Prevention
and Trauma Care Division, The George Institute for International Health,
University of Sydney. Suzanne is a medical doctor and injury epidemiologist,
and is a Fellow of the Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine.
Suzannes primary research interests are in road traffic injury and
trauma care. Suzanne has taught epidemiology and evidence-based medicine
in the School of Population Health at the University of Western Australia,
and has been involved in the development of flexible teaching modules
in injury epidemiology, prevention and control. |
